Humanin-HNG

S14G-humanin · HNG · Gly14-humanin

S14G substitution on humanin (HNG) - a more potent analog of the mitochondrial 24-aa peptide we already list. Used in cell and animal neuroprotection papers. Potency in a dish is not a human dose table. Not FDA-approved.

Not FDA-approved - research chemical

Quick answer

What it is: S14G substitution on humanin (HNG) - a more potent analog of the mitochondrial 24-aa peptide we already list.

How it works

HNG is humanin with serine-14 replaced by glycine. In published models that substitution increases potency versus native humanin. Parent humanin is a 24-aa mitochondrial ORF peptide (PMID 11371646).

Potency in a dish is not a milligram conversion table. Do not treat HNG as “humanin but you use less” unless a paper says so for that exact endpoint.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is HNG just stronger humanin?▼
In some models, S14G is more potent. That is not a human dose chart and not a longer half-life by default.
