How it works
Prostatilen is a pharmaceutical-grade polypeptide extract derived from the prostate glands of young bulls. Manufactured primarily in Russia and Eastern Europe, it is an injectable therapeutic containing water-soluble peptides with specific tropism (attraction) to the human prostate gland.
It acts by improving prostate microcirculation, reducing tissue edema (swelling), inhibiting leukocyte infiltration (inflammation), and normalizing the secretory function of prostate epithelial cells. It is a widely prescribed clinical treatment in Russia for chronic abacterial prostatitis and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It works via the same tissue-specific gene regulation pathways as the oral Cytomax version (Libidon), but at a higher, clinical-grade concentration.

Prostatilen is filed here as pharmaceutical extract (cytamin-era), targeting the prostate. Khavinson's St. Petersburg group moved from organ extracts (Cytamins) to capsule complexes (Cytomaxes) to synthetic short peptides (Cytogens); most of the evidence comes from that one group, with little independent Western replication.
