How it works
Gotratix (A-18) is a Cytomax natural polypeptide extract from the skeletal muscle tissue of young calves, delivering targeted peptide signals to human myocytes (muscle cells) to restore age-silenced gene expression controlling muscle protein synthesis, mitochondrial efficiency, and satellite cell (muscle stem cell) activation. Sarcopenia - the progressive, age-related loss of skeletal muscle mass and strength - begins as early as age 30 and accelerates dramatically after 50, with an estimated 3–8% decline per decade becoming 15% per decade after age 70.
The conventional counter-strategy is resistance training and protein intake, which work through IGF-1 and mTOR-mediated anabolic signaling. Gotratix operates at a more foundational level: it delivers epigenetic signals directly to myocyte nuclei to reactivate transcription of genes encoding myosin heavy chain isoforms, sarcomeric actin, mitochondrial biogenesis factors (PGC-1α), and satellite cell proliferation regulators. This is not a hormonal or pharmacological intervention - it is an epigenetic restoration of what the muscle cell's own gene program once expressed in youth.
Gotratix is used extensively by aging athletes, both to maintain performance and to accelerate recovery from training. Khavinson's St. Petersburg group moved from organ extracts (Cytamins) to capsule complexes (Cytomaxes) to synthetic short peptides (Cytogens); most of the evidence comes from that one group, with little independent Western replication.

History of this molecule
Sarcopenia is the honest use-case, not “violent hypertrophy.” Khavinson’s muscle line is epigenetic identity of myocytes and satellite-cell neighborhoods, not androgen receptor agonism. Gotratix is the complex. There is no famous muscle tetrapeptide on the 12-cytogen poster the way Pancragen is pancreas. Cartalax and Sigumir are cartilage/joint neighbors in the musculoskeletal aisle, not the same tissue.
Athlete marketing will try to sell Gotratix as a legal anabolic. That is how people get hurt - WADA, contamination, and false expectations. A tissue complex is not oxandrolone.
The origin papers are gerontology (age-related muscle) more than sports science. Trainers stacking this with CJC/ipa are mixing two completely different pharmacologies.
Caveats
Skeletal muscle Cytomax is not a US dietary-supplement monograph and not a drug. The tissue-extract model means lot-to-lot composition is a fingerprint, not a single CAS number. Some English-language bottles carry a “V2” label. Vita Peptides, for example, labels its own house line V2 (15 mg per capsule vs 10 mg in V1). No study compares V1 and V2 outcomes, and neither label is the subject of Khavinson’s 1990s papers. Animal-source capsules are inappropriate if the reader has a religious or allergy constraint on the source species. None of this replaces care for the actual organ disease.

- Gotratix is an oral capsule complex. It is not a 5 mg lyophilized research vial.
- Inventing recon math for a zero-mg Cytomax vial is how people inject the wrong product.
- Not an official Cytomed sublingual tablet, IM ampoule, or eye drop either.
- Official form for Gotratix: swallow the capsule with water. No reconstitution step and no 5 mg cake.
- Skeletal-muscle Cytomax (Cytomed A-18). Catalogs misspell it Gotratrix - same capsule, still not a steroid.
- Course-based (10–30 days, a few times a year in manufacturer folklore), not a daily forever drug.
