How it works
Glandokort (A-17) is a Cytomax natural polypeptide extract from the adrenal glands of young calves, targeting the human adrenal cortex to restore the regulatory gene expression responsible for cortisol rhythm, DHEA production, and stress adaptation. The adrenal glands are the body's primary stress response organs: the cortex produces glucocorticoids (cortisol), mineralocorticoids (aldosterone), and androgens (DHEA), while the medulla releases adrenaline. Chronic stress, poor sleep, illness, or simply the passage of time causes progressive adrenal functional decline - commonly called "adrenal fatigue," though more precisely described as HPA-axis (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal) dysregulation.
Glandokort delivers short peptide signals (<10 kDa) extracted from bovine adrenal tissue. Unlike adaptogenic herbs (ashwagandha, rhodiola) that modulate cortisol receptors or stress signaling pathways, Glandokort works upstream: it relaxes age-silenced chromatin in adrenal cortex cells to reactivate the genes encoding steroidogenesis enzymes (StAR, CYP11A1, CYP21A2) and ACTH receptor density. This restores the adrenal gland's intrinsic capacity to mount an appropriate cortisol response rather than chronically over- or under-producing.
In the Khavinson longevity system, Glandokort is paired with Endoluten (A-8, pineal/melatonin) to address the full HPA axis reset - since the pineal gland sets the circadian master rhythm that determines the daily cortisol awakening response. Together they address both the upstream circadian control and the downstream adrenal output capacity.

Glandokort is filed here as cytomax (natural peptide complex), targeting the adrenal glands. Khavinson's St. Petersburg group moved from organ extracts (Cytamins) to capsule complexes (Cytomaxes) to synthetic short peptides (Cytogens); most of the evidence comes from that one group, with little independent Western replication.

History of this molecule
Adrenal aging is cortisol rhythm, DHEA, aldosterone, and medullary catecholamines all going off-script. Khavinson’s extract logic says the gland has peptide signals that keep steroidogenic enzyme transcription on. Glandokort is that Cytomax bet.
The naming collision with Cortagen is the most expensive pun in this catalog. Cortagen = cortex of the brain. Glandokort = adrenal. If you stack them because the letters look related, you stacked brain + adrenal by accident, which might even be a reasonable longevity stack - but not because the names match.
This is not hydrocortisone, not fludrocortisone, not an ACTH analog (cosyntropin). Addison’s and Cushing’s are not capsule diseases.
Caveats
Adrenal Cytomax is not a US dietary-supplement monograph and not a drug. The tissue-extract model means lot-to-lot composition is a fingerprint, not a single CAS number. Some English-language bottles carry a “V2” label. Vita Peptides, for example, labels its own house line V2 (15 mg per capsule vs 10 mg in V1). No study compares V1 and V2 outcomes, and neither label is the subject of Khavinson’s 1990s papers. Animal-source capsules are inappropriate if the reader has a religious or allergy constraint on the source species. None of this replaces care for the actual organ disease. Do not taper prescribed steroids because a capsule exists.

- Glandokort is an oral capsule complex. It is not a 5 mg lyophilized research vial.
- Inventing recon math for a zero-mg Cytomax vial is how people inject the wrong product.
- Not an official Cytomed sublingual tablet, IM ampoule, or eye drop either.
- Official form for Glandokort: swallow the capsule with water. No reconstitution step and no 5 mg cake.
