Thyreogen
Thyroid Extract Bioregulator · Thyroid Cytomax · Тиреоген
Thyreogen is the Cytomax thyroid complex. It is not levothyroxine, not liothyronine, and not Bonothyrk (parathyroid). A “V2” label on a thyroid capsule is a product-line designation; no study compares V1 and V2 outcomes, and it is not a Khavinson 1990s paper.

How it works
Thyreogen (A-2) is a Cytomax natural polypeptide extract from the thyroid gland of young calves - the second in Khavinson's A-Series, reflecting its central role in metabolism and whole-body regulation. The thyroid produces T4 (thyroxine) and T3 (triiodothyronine) - hormones that regulate metabolic rate, body temperature, heart rate, cognitive function, and gene transcription in virtually every cell type. Hypothyroidism affects an estimated 4–10% of adults globally, with subclinical thyroid dysfunction (normal TSH but impaired tissue T3 conversion) far more prevalent and largely undiagnosed.
Thyreogen delivers short peptide signals (<10 kDa) from bovine thyroid tissue. These peptides enter thyroid follicular cell nuclei to reactivate transcription of: thyroglobulin (the precursor protein from which T3 and T4 are cleaved), TPO (thyroid peroxidase - the enzyme iodinating thyroglobulin to make T3/T4), sodium-iodide symporter (NIS, responsible for iodine uptake), and TSH receptor gene expression. This is a restorative mechanism - Thyreogen tells thyroid follicular cells to re-express the genes for making thyroid hormone more efficiently.
Critically, Thyreogen does not provide exogenous T3 or T4. It works upstream, at the gene expression level, to restore the thyroid's own capacity. In Khavinson's system, Thyreogen (A-2) is paired with Endoluten (A-8, pineal) since the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis is deeply integrated with circadian rhythm - TSH follows a circadian pattern (peaking at night), and melatonin from the pineal gland modulates TRH secretion from the hypothalamus.

Manufacturer-style organ combinations - not FDA protocols. Every name is a live leaf.
The Khavinson school
Thyreogen is filed here as cytomax (natural peptide complex), targeting the thyroid gland. Khavinson's St. Petersburg group moved from organ extracts (Cytamins) to capsule complexes (Cytomaxes) to synthetic short peptides (Cytogens); most of the evidence comes from that one group, with little independent Western replication.

History of this molecule
Thyroid peptide bioregulation is follicular-cell identity and the transcription of the hormone-making machinery - still not T4 in a bottle. Thyreogen is the complex on the 21. There is no dedicated thyroid cytogen on the 12-SKU NPCRIZ cytogen poster (Testagen and Epitalon get secondary-thyroid mentions in English blogs; that is not the same as a thyroid cytogen SKU).
PSI has public mass-spec posts about Thyreogen vs “V2” diversity. That is brand analytics on capsule contents, not a clinical comparison. It is not our IP and not a reason to paste their chromatograms.
Caveats
Thyroid Cytomax is not a US dietary-supplement monograph and not a drug. The tissue-extract model means lot-to-lot composition is a fingerprint, not a single CAS number. Some English-language bottles carry a “V2” label. Vita Peptides, for example, labels its own house line V2 (15 mg per capsule vs 10 mg in V1). No study compares V1 and V2 outcomes, and neither label is the subject of Khavinson’s 1990s papers. Animal-source capsules are inappropriate if the reader has a religious or allergy constraint on the source species. None of this replaces care for the actual organ disease. TSH/free T4 still rule. Hyperthyroidism is not a DIY peptide.

Dosing
| Phase | Dose | Frequency | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mini-Course / General Preventive (1 box) | 2 capsules (20 mg) | Once daily for 10 days, 30 min before meals | Standard Khavinson mini-course (20 caps). Repeat every 6 months. Morning dosing preferred to align with natural TSH rhythm. Combine with Endoluten (A-8) for the complete hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis reset. |
| Full Monthly Course (Thyroid Support) | 2 capsules (20 mg) | Twice daily for 30 days (120 caps = 2× 60-cap boxes) | Bi-annual 30-day courses for subclinical hypothyroid patterns, post-thyroiditis recovery, or metabolic slowdown in aging. Core thyroid-metabolic stack: Thyreogen (A-2) + Endoluten (A-8) + Suprefort (A-1, pancreas) for comprehensive metabolic axis support. |
| Intensive / Thyroid Restoration Protocol | 2 capsules (20 mg) | Twice daily, repeated monthly | For Hashimoto's thyroiditis (as complement to existing care), borderline hypothyroidism, or post-ablation supportive protocol. Mandatory physician oversight. Not a replacement for levothyroxine or anti-thyroid medications. Max: 4 caps/day (40 mg). |
Administration
Thyreogen: Not a research vial vs Oral capsule
- No dedicated cytogen on the 12-SKU NPCRIZ poster (none on the 12-SKU poster - Bonothyrk is parathyroid, different gland). Do not invent one.
- There is no pharmaceutical-extract SKU that is this capsule in a syringe.
- There is no dedicated thyroid cytogen on the 12-SKU poster. Do not relabel Testagen or Epitalon as a thyroid vial. Bonothyrk is parathyroid. Do not stop Synthroid for a capsule.
- Thyreogen is an oral capsule complex. It is not a 5 mg lyophilized research vial.
- Inventing recon math for a zero-mg Cytomax vial is how people inject the wrong product.
- Not an official Cytomed sublingual tablet, IM ampoule, or eye drop either.
- Official form for Thyreogen: swallow the capsule with water. No reconstitution step and no 5 mg cake.
- Thyroid Cytomax. English “Thyreogen V2” bottles are later mass-spec marketing, not a 1990s Khavinson paper. Not levothyroxine.
- Course-based (10–30 days, a few times a year in manufacturer folklore), not a daily forever drug.
- Thyroid Cytomax is a peptide mixture / lot fingerprint, not a single CAS. English “V2” bottles are a later commercial layer, not a Khavinson RCT.
- Russian school literature is not an FDA organ-disease label.
- Third-party lingual SKUs exist in the wild. We do not claim sublingual as the official Cytomed Cytomax form.
Timeline
Who it is for
Subclinical Hypothyroidism / Thyroid Aging
LowRestores thyroid follicular cell gene expression for thyroglobulin, TPO, and NIS. Works upstream to improve the gland's own T3/T4 production capacity.
Hashimoto's / Autoimmune Thyroid Support
LowUsed as complementary support alongside conventional Hashimoto's management. The epigenetic restoration mechanism may help preserve remaining functional thyroid tissue. Always physician-supervised in autoimmune contexts.
Safety & Considerations
Natural glandular extract (Cytomax) from bovine thyroid tissue, <10 kDa. Contains no T3, T4, or TSH. Meets European/Russian veterinary standards. Physician oversight required for anyone on thyroid medication. Generally recognized as safe.
Regulatory & Legal Status
Not currently on the WADA 2026 Prohibited List. Policies may change - verify before competition.

Limits of current evidence
- Cytomax SKUs are oral capsules. Do not run SubQ reconstitution math on a zero-mg vial.
- Lot-to-lot composition is a fingerprint, not one sequence.
- This site will not treat the named organ disease from a peptide page.
- English-language V2 / analog bottles are a later commercial layer, not a Khavinson RCT.
Verdict
Thyreogen is a Cytomax capsule complex from Thyroid gland. It is not the paired cytogen, not a 5 mg research cake, and not a US supplement monograph. The organ story is in the dossier on this page.
Interactions & Contraindications
Do not stop indicated thyroid medication because a capsule page exists.
