Registered summary
A fully functional brown fat helps maintain a healthy weight and decreases the risk of metabolic diseases such as type II diabetes (T2DM). Unfortunately, in human adults, the functionality of brown fat declines with age, and it is one of the reasons for gaining unhealthy weight, particularly around the waistline (central obesity). Currently, scientists do not clearly understand the reasons for the decline in brown fat functionality. The full summary is on the listing.

What it tests, as registered
Nicotinamide Riboside (NR); Placebo
Registered summary
The purpose of this study is to evalue the effects of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) supplementation (nicotinamide riboside (NR) form) on sleep in healthy adults compared to a placebo. NAD is important for brain health and energy balance and a proposed explanation for its effect on sleep is that NAD supplementation restores the neurophysiological capacity of the brain to 'rest' during sleep. If this is the case, we expect the administration to result in improvements in sleep quality (and most likely sleep quantity) compared to placebo. The full summary is on the listing.

What it tests, as registered
Placebo; Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide
Registered summary
Brief Summary This study is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial designed to evaluate whether an injectable form of Coenzyme I (also known as nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, or NAD⁺) is safe and effective for treating children with cardiac dysfunction (weak heart pumping). Who can join? We plan to enroll 180 children under 18 years of age who are hospitalized with cardiac dysfunction, meaning their heart's pumping ability (left ventricular ejection fraction, or LVEF) is below 55%. Children will be recruited from five hospitals in China. The full summary is on the listing.

What it tests, as registered
NAD+; Placebo
Registered summary
The goal of this clinical trial is to assess the absorption, safety, and efficacy of an NAD+ supplement in healthy adults. The main question it aims to answer is: What is the change in NAD+ levels in whole blood from baseline to day 56 between the NAD+ supplement and placebo? Researchers will compare the NAD+ supplement to placebo to evaluate its absorption, safety, and efficacy. Participants will be asked to: * Complete questionnaires * Provide blood samples * Consume either the NAD+ supplement or a placebo for 55 days * Have their endothelial function evaluated
