    Crossover RCT · n 30 · 2023 · Patients with chronic coronary artery syndrome

    4 capsules a day (10 mg hydroxytyrosol) · 1 month per period

Glycocalyx thickness, flow-mediated dilation, coronary flow reserve and pulse wave velocity improved from baseline with hydroxytyrosol but not with placebo; malondialdehyde, oxidised LDL, triglycerides, PCSK9 and CRP fell, in contrast to placebo. Blood pressure did not change.
