Oral ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) trials recruiting now

2 registrations that name oral ATP as a study arm and are recruiting or about to, as ClinicalTrials.gov listed them on Oct 20, 2026. Read each listing for its full criteria and current status.

Kymata never assesses eligibility. Each listing names its own criteria; only its study team can say whether someone can join. Trial doses are given under the trial's monitoring and are not a schedule for anyone outside it.

The Safety, Feasibility, and Repeatability of Inhaled ATP Cough Challenges

  • Phase 1
  • McMaster University
  • About 33 people
  • Started Aug 5, 2025

In plain words A Phase 1 study of oral ATP in people 18 and older, run by McMaster University. It plans to enroll about 33 people at 1 site, none in the US.

Who it lists and where

Who the trial lists, as registered

Lists people 18 and older; healthy volunteers accepted. Conditions: Chronic Cough (CC); Asthma.

  • Normal spirometry; and
  • No current or past medical history of chronic cough or other respiratory diseases.

The exclusion criteria are on the listing.

What it tests, as registered

Adenosine 5'-triphosphate

Registered summary

The inhalation of adenosine 5'-triphosphate (ATP) to evoke cough (ATP cough challenge) is becoming increasingly used as a tool to measure cough hypersensitivity in patients with chronic cough. However, the safety, feasibility, and repeatability of this procedure is not widely known. In this study, we will perform ATP cough challenges in healthy individuals and in patients with mild asthma and chronic cough to better understand the safety, feasibility, and repeatability of these challenges. The full summary is on the listing.

What it tests, as registered

adenosine triphosphate; Vitamin B Complex

Registered summary

Epinosine B Forte ampoule is an intramuscular injectable supplement containing adenosine triphosphate (ATP), Cocarboxylase (vitamin B1 derivative), vitamin B12, and nicotinamide (vitamin B3). It is used to support nerve function, treat B vitamin deficiencies, enhance cellular energy metabolism, and alleviate symptoms of fatigue, neuropathy, and general weakness.
