  1. Grade CBone resorption and whole-body bone density · Improved

    RCT · n 93 · 2011 · Non-equol-producing postmenopausal Japanese women (pilot)

    2, 6 or 10 mg/day · 12 months

With 10 mg/day, urinary deoxypyridinoline, a marker of bone breakdown, fell 23.94% vs 2.87% with placebo (P = 0.020), and whole-body bone density did not fall. Sex and thyroid hormones did not differ between groups.
