96% on butyrate versus 56% on placebo cut BMI by at least 0.25 SD scores. Waist fell 5.07 cm more, and insulin, HOMA-IR, ghrelin and IL-6 fell versus placebo. Two children had transient mild nausea and headache in the first month.
