GLP-1 Prices at Costco, Walmart, CVS and GoodRx
Brand-name GLP-1s now cost about the same at every big retailer, because the price comes from the drugmakers’ own self-pay offers, not from the store. On Oct 11, 2026: the Wegovy pill was $149 a month at the 1.5 mg starting dose, Wegovy pens $349 a month after two $199 starter fills, and Zepbound from $299 a month. Costco’s member pricing page lists Wegovy and Ozempic but not Zepbound, and Walmart is the pickup pharmacy for LillyDirect’s Zepbound. Without one of these offers, GoodRx puts the average retail price of Wegovy at about $1,643 a month.
Quick answer
- Costco (members only): Wegovy pen $349 a month at 1–2.4 mg, Wegovy tablets $299 at 9–25 mg, Ozempic $199 for the 0.25–0.5 mg pen (2 fills; $349 after Dec 31, 2026). Zepbound is not on Costco’s GLP-1 member pricing page.
- Walmart: LillyDirect uses Walmart Pharmacy for free pickup of Zepbound KwikPens and vials at LillyDirect prices, $299 (2.5 mg), $399 (5 mg) and $449 (7.5–15 mg) with on-time refills.
- CVS, Walgreens and Walmart on GoodRx: the same manufacturer prices, $149 for the 1.5 mg Wegovy pill and $299 for the 2.5 mg Zepbound KwikPen.
- With commercial insurance, savings cards can bring Wegovy or Zepbound to as little as $25 a month. Eligible Medicare Part D enrollees pay $50 through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge instead.

Retailer by retailer
- Costco: its pharmacy page lists Wegovy tablets at $299 a month (9–25 mg), Wegovy injections at $349 (1–2.4 mg), and Ozempic at $199 (0.25–0.5 mg, limited to 2 fills, $349 after Dec 31, 2026), $349 (1 mg) and $499 (2 mg). Costco says Member Value Pricing is a direct-to-members program, is not insurance, cannot be used on claims billed to Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance, and excludes shipping.
- Walmart: Walmart publishes no GLP-1 price list of its own. LillyDirect lists Walmart Pharmacy as one of its four dispensing pharmacies and as the free pickup option for Zepbound KwikPens and vials, at the same prices as home delivery.
- CVS and Walgreens: neither posts a GLP-1 self-pay price. GoodRx, checked the same day, shows the manufacturer offers at CVS, Target (CVS), Walgreens, Walmart, Costco, Safeway and others at identical prices.
- GoodRx: Wegovy tablets $149 (1.5 mg), $199 (4 mg) and $299 (9 and 25 mg); Wegovy pens $199 for the 0.25 and 0.5 mg cartons, $349 for 1–2.4 mg and $399 for 7.2 mg; Zepbound KwikPen from $299. GoodRx shows these as manufacturer offers, so they match NovoCare and LillyDirect.
Why the price is the same almost everywhere
Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly sell Wegovy, Ozempic, Foundayo and Zepbound to self-pay patients at fixed monthly prices through their own pharmacies (NovoCare Pharmacy and LillyDirect), through TrumpRx.gov and through savings cards that any participating pharmacy can run. Retailers mostly pass those prices through. The difference between stores is convenience: membership, pickup versus delivery, and whether your prescription is already there.
What does change the price: the dose (starter doses are cheaper), whether you are new to the drug (the $199 Wegovy and Ozempic starter fills), refilling Zepbound within 45 days, and whether the pharmacy actually applies the manufacturer offer. GoodRx lists average retail prices of about $1,643 a month for Wegovy without one.
Before you fill
- Ask the pharmacy to run the manufacturer self-pay offer or a TrumpRx coupon, not its plain retail price.
- Self-pay prices do not count toward an insurance deductible or out-of-pocket maximum, and TrumpRx’s terms say you must not seek reimbursement from a plan for them.
- Zepbound KwikPens need pen needles and vials need syringes, bought separately.
- If you are on Medicare Part D and meet its criteria, the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge costs $50 a month from July 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027, far less than any retail self-pay price.
- Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are a different product: Compounded medications are made by a pharmacy for an individual prescription and are not FDA-approved: FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are sold.
FAQ
How much is Wegovy at Costco?
On Oct 11, 2026, Costco’s member pricing page listed Wegovy injections at $349 a month for the 1–2.4 mg doses and Wegovy tablets at $299 a month for 9–25 mg. A Costco membership is required, and the price cannot be combined with insurance or Medicare claims.
Does Costco sell Zepbound at a discount?
Costco’s own GLP-1 member pricing page lists Wegovy and Ozempic, not Zepbound (checked Oct 11, 2026). GoodRx shows Zepbound KwikPen at $299 for the 2.5 mg dose at Costco and other chains, because that price comes from Lilly’s self-pay savings card rather than from Costco.
How much is Zepbound at Walmart?
Walmart Pharmacy is LillyDirect’s free pickup option for Zepbound KwikPens and vials, at LillyDirect’s self-pay prices: $299 for 2.5 mg, $399 for 5 mg and $449 for 7.5–15 mg when each refill is within 45 days (otherwise $499 or $699). Checked Oct 11, 2026.
Is GoodRx cheaper than buying Wegovy from NovoCare?
No. On Oct 11, 2026 GoodRx showed the same manufacturer prices NovoCare Pharmacy lists: $149 to $299 a month for Wegovy tablets by dose, and $349 a month for Wegovy pens after the starter fills ($399 for 7.2 mg).
Is Wegovy cheaper at CVS or Walgreens?
Not on self-pay. GoodRx showed the Wegovy pill at $149 for the 1.5 mg dose at CVS, Walgreens, Walmart and Costco alike on Oct 11, 2026, because every chain runs the same Novo Nordisk offer.
