Who it suits

A premium oregano oil, not our top pick
  • People who want an oregano oil made from wild Mediterranean oregano in organic extra virgin olive oil, from a brand that has sold it for about 30 years (the brand’s own account), and who accept a premium price.
  • Start with the daily-use gelcaps ($29.99 for 60) or the daily-use oil ($29.99 for 13.5 mL). Super Strength is the stronger option, the two-packs cost less per bottle, and the 10-gelcap Convenience Pak ($5.09) is a way to try the gelcaps.
  • Compare it with the other oregano oils we list before you buy: its 1 fl oz oil is the lowest price per serving on our oregano comparison, but its labels do not state how much oregano oil a serving holds, so the prices are not like for like.

What to know first

4 points
  • The labels give the weight of the oregano and olive oil blend (50 mg per 2 drops of oil; 140 mg per gelcap), not the amount of oregano oil in it.
  • The carvacrol percentages are the brand’s own and differ between its pages (65 to 84%, 68 to 78%, and 73% or more for Super Strength). No certificate of analysis is posted on the product pages we read.
  • Subscribe & Save takes 15% off on the brand’s site, and the code NAHSWELCOME15 took 15% off a first order in our cart test on Oct 21, 2026 (we tested it on the juice and the cream). The two-packs and the Convenience Pak have no subscription option.

What the research says about the key ingredients

We grade the human research on oregano oil on our oregano page, study by study. No published trial has tested an Oreganol P73 product, and nothing here is a claim for any of these products.

  1. Oregano oil in people

    Oregano oil

    Grade D, preliminary (Grade D)

A handful of small or uncontrolled human studies; none of an Oreganol P73 product.

Our oregano page lists each human study with its size, design and grade. They are few and small, so we grade the evidence D (preliminary).

A one-month phase I study of carvacrol in healthy adults kept routine blood, urine and lung tests within normal ranges, although some values shifted from baseline.

Lab results on carvacrol do not show what a supplement does in people.

Our oregano pageCarvacrol phase I study 2018 (PMID 30486682) (opens in new tab)

How we grade: A = several randomized trials or a meta-analysis; B = at least one adequately sized randomized trial; C = small or mixed trials; D = a single small trial, lab or animal data; no effect shown = adequately sized trials that found none. Not graded = a fact about another use, with no trial of the question to grade.

Safety notes

Before you use an Oreganol product

Not medical advice
  • Not for use in pregnancy or while breastfeeding. LactMed has no data on oregano in nursing mothers or infants and says amounts above food flavouring should probably be avoided while breastfeeding; we found no human pregnancy safety data for oregano oil supplements. • Not for young children: we found no safety data for oregano oil supplements in children. Keep the bottles out of their reach. Our oregano page
  • The oil has a strong, hot taste and can upset the stomach. The brand’s own directions say to take the gelcaps with meals or juice and the oil in juice or water.
  • If you take a blood thinner or any other prescription medicine, ask a pharmacist before you start: a case report linked daily oregano tea to a large rise in INR in a woman on an anticoagulant, and other interaction data are limited. Questions about North American Herb & Spice

Questions

5 answers · checked Oct 21, 2026

Is Oreganol P73 our top oregano oil pick?

No. We list it as a premium option. On our oregano page the Quick pick comes from the other brands we link, and our comparison sets every oregano oil we can link side by side on label facts and price per serving.

What is the difference between Oreganol P73 and Super Strength?

Both are wild Mediterranean oregano oil in organic extra virgin olive oil. The brand states Super Strength has a higher share of oregano oil to olive oil and 73% carvacrol or more. The labels give the same blend weight per serving (50 mg per 2 drops; 140 mg per gelcap), so neither label states the oregano oil amount.

How much does Oreganol P73 cost per serving?

At the one-time prices checked Oct 21, 2026: about $0.37 a gelcap in the 120-count bottle ($44.99), about $0.10 a 2-drop serving in the 1 fl oz oil ($44.99 for 432), and about $0.13 for Super Strength oil in 1 oz ($54.99 for 432). Subscribe & Save takes 15% off most items.

Is there a discount code?

The code NAHSWELCOME15 took 15% off a first order in our cart test on Oct 21, 2026 (we tested it on the juice and the cream). Separately, Subscribe & Save takes 15% off most products on the brand’s site.

Does Kymata earn money from these links?

Yes, a 15% commission on purchases through CJ Affiliate. It does not change what we report, and this brand is never our top oregano oil pick.
