What it tests, as registered
TRPTI 300mg; Placebo
Registered summary
The goal of this clinical trial is to assess whether TRPTI (oleoylethanolamide) can reduce plasma imidazole propionate levels and improve insulin sensitivity and metabolic health in healthy adults aged 18 years and above with BMI 18.5-29.9 kg/m². The main question it aims to answer is does TRPTI reduce plasma imidazole propionate (a gut microbiota-derived metabolite linked to insulin resistance)? Researchers will compare TRPTI 300 mg to placebo in a parallel design to see if TRPTI reduces imidazole propionate levels and improves metabolic health markers compared to placebo. The full summary is on the listing.

Registered summary
The goal of this clinical trial is to assess whether TRPTI™ supplementation affects GLP-1 and related metabolic markers in generally healthy adults who are overweight or obese (BMI 25.0-34.9 kg/m², aged 30 years and older). Researchers will compare TRPTI™ 150 mg to a matching placebo capsule to see if TRPTI™ produces a meaningful difference in GLP-1 response and associated metabolic and appetite-related markers over 8 hours. Participants will attend two 9-hour clinic visits (crossover design, with a minimum 6-day washout between visits).
