4 registrations that name chlorophyll as a study arm and are recruiting or about to, as ClinicalTrials.gov listed them on Oct 20, 2026. Read each listing for its full criteria and current status.
Kymata never assesses eligibility. Each listing names its own criteria; only its study team can say whether someone can join. Trial doses are given under the trial's monitoring and are not a schedule for anyone outside it.

What it tests, as registered
Chlorophyllin
Registered summary
Diffuse gliomas are common tumors involving the brain. They are usually treated by surgery followed by radiation and chemotherapy. Radiotherapy is used for the treatment of brain tumors which causes damage to the tumor cells. However, radiotherapy can also affect the surrounding healthy cells in the brain, causing inflammation and swelling in the region, which is known as radio necrosis (RN). This is considered a late side effect of radiation and is seen in 10-25% of patients treated with radiation for brain tumors. The full summary is on the listing.

What it tests, as registered
Sodium Copper Chlorophyllin
Registered summary
The goal of this phase II, single-arm interventional clinical trial is to evaluate whether oral sodium copper chlorophyllin (CHL) can reduce the frequency and severity of oral mucositis in patients aged 12-65 years undergoing myeloablative total body irradiation (TBI) as part of conditioning before their first allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT). Who the trial lists, as registered
Lists female participants 18 and older. Conditions: Uterine Cervical Neoplasm.
Female subjects aged 18 years or above with histologically proven locally advanced squamous cell or adenocarcinoma of the cervix
Subjects eligible for RT and planned for definitive RT +/- chemotherapy with brachytherapy.
Subjects who exceed the dose constraints of:
Rectum/sigmoid D 2cm³ EQD2 ³ by more than 70 Gy, or
10 more inclusion criteria and the exclusion criteria are on the listing.
What it tests, as registered
Sodium-copper-chlorophyllin, a semi-synthetic derivative of chlorophyll, is made up of a mixture of sodium copper salts.
Registered summary
Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in Indian women, and most patients are diagnosed at advanced stages. The standard treatment for these stages is concurrent chemoradiotherapy, but this can cause long-term side effects such as bladder inflammation, strictures, ulcers, and tissue damage, which negatively impact patients' quality of life. Previous studies have shown that oral sodium-copper-chlorophyllin can help reduce radiation-related side effects in rectal, prostate, and cervical cancer patients. The full summary is on the listing.

A Study of Chlorophyllin or Placebo With Standard Treatment for Late Radiation Induced Luminal Gastrointestinal Tract Bleeding
Phase 3
Tata Memorial Centre
About 200 people
Starts Sep 15, 2026 (estimated)
In plain words A Phase 3 study of chlorophyll in people 18 and older, run by Tata Memorial Centre. It plans to enroll about 200 people at 1 site, none in the US.
Who it lists and where
Who the trial lists, as registered
Lists people 18 and older. Conditions: Radiation Proctitis; Gastrointestinal Hemorrhage; Radiation Injuries.
Age greater than 18 years.
Histologically confirmed malignancy who have previously received radiotherapy to the pelvis, abdomen, or mediastinum and subsequently developed late radiation-induced luminal gastrointestinal bleeding at least 6 months after completion of…
Currently no evidence of distant metastases or local recurrence associated with GI bleed, documented and proven as appropriate with the primary diagnosis.
Site of GI bleed localised by either CT angiography or endscopy (Vienna score) or as per best standards applicable in institutional practice and primary diagnosis.
6 more inclusion criteria and the exclusion criteria are on the listing.
What it tests, as registered
Chlorophyllin, Sodium Copper Complex; Placebo
Registered summary
This multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase III clinical trial will evaluate whether oral sodium copper chlorophyllin (CHL) is effective and safe for treating late radiation-induced gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding in patients who previously received radiotherapy for cancer. Radiation-induced GI bleeding can occur months or years after treatment and may lead to chronic bleeding, anemia, blood transfusions, and reduced quality of life. Current treatment options are often invasive, expensive, or only partially effective. The full summary is on the listing.
