Sports products we list
  • Healthy adults who already use caffeine and want a dosed pre-workout: Mr. Hyde Signature V2 gives 200 mg caffeine with 3 g citrulline and 2.5 g creatine per scoop.

What to know first

5 points
  • Mr. Hyde Signature V2 has 200 mg caffeine per scoop and the label allows two scoops a day (400 mg). It is not for anyone under 18, pregnant or breastfeeding, with a heart condition or high blood pressure, or on stimulant medicines. Do not stack it with other caffeine, and start with half a scoop.
  • Informed Choice, a third-party program that tests sports supplements for substances banned in sport, names “Mr. Hyde Signature Series”, “Dr. Jekyll Stim Free SIGNATURE” and “Max Pump” (under Mr. HYDE Signature, the caffeine-free pump) on its public list of Oct 28, 2026. HydroBCAA is not on it.
  • In 2017 the FDA sent ProSupps a warning letter over manufacturing-practice and adverse-event-reporting violations, and older pre-workout lots were recalled in 2016 and 2017 for picamilon, an unapproved ingredient, and in 2015 for more yohimbine than the label declared. The recalls are recorded as terminated.

What the research says about the key ingredients

We grade the human research on caffeine, beta-alanine and citrulline on their own pages, study by study. No published trial has tested a ProSupps product, and nothing here is a claim for any of these products.

  1. Citrulline and repetitions

    L-citrulline

    Grade C, limited (Grade C)

Citrulline malate added about 3 repetitions to failure in pooled trials; no endurance benefit was found.

Trials used 6 to 8 g of citrulline malate, about 3.4 to 4.5 g of L-citrulline. Pooled trials also found slightly lower blood pressure, which matters if you take blood-pressure medicines.

Our citrulline pageCitrulline malate repetitions meta-analysis 2021 (PMID 34010809) (opens in new tab)L-citrulline blood pressure meta-analysis 2025 (PMID 40789388) (opens in new tab)

How we grade: A = several randomized trials or a meta-analysis; B = at least one adequately sized randomized trial; C = small or mixed trials; D = a single small trial, lab or animal data; no effect shown = adequately sized trials that found none. Not graded = a fact about another use, with no trial of the question to grade.

Questions about ProSupps

Questions

5 answers · checked Oct 28, 2026

How much caffeine is in Mr. Hyde Signature V2?

200 mg per scoop, from caffeine anhydrous (label). The label allows up to two scoops, 400 mg, in 24 hours, which is the whole daily amount the FDA cites for most healthy adults, so do not add coffee or energy drinks.

Which ProSupps pre-workout has no caffeine?

Dr. Jekyll Signature and Mr. Hyde Max Pump list no caffeine. Dr. Jekyll still contains ashwagandha and ginseng, so its label keeps the same age, pregnancy and medicine warnings.

Are ProSupps products Informed Choice certified?

Informed Choice’s public list of Oct 28, 2026 names “Mr. Hyde Signature Series”, “Dr. Jekyll Stim Free SIGNATURE” and “Max Pump” under ProSupps’ Mr. HYDE Signature. HydroBCAA is not on it. The listing is about banned-substance testing, not caffeine: Mr. Hyde Signature V2 still has 200 mg caffeine per scoop. Athletes should check the list for their own product and lot.

What was the FDA warning letter about?

In February 2017 the FDA cited ProSupps for dietary supplement manufacturing-practice violations (complaints, quality control, label specifications, returns, contract manufacturers) and for not submitting a serious adverse event report. Separately, older pre-workout lots were recalled in 2016 and 2017 for picamilon, and one lot in 2015 for more yohimbine than its label declared; FDA records those recalls as terminated.

Why is there no price on this page?

Every link goes to Amazon, where prices change often. We print none rather than a stale one.
